Safe and yet with great performance, the Nevada2 Light is the perfect glider for pilots who want to fine-tune their skills before moving on to a more demanding wing like the Aspen6, and the lightweight version is ideal for pilots interested in hike-and-fly.

DESIRE TO FLY

FLY ZEN

In flight tests the Nevada2 Light was rated EN-B on typical maneuvers.  It is a safe, solid glider, but nonetheless more demanding than the Golden5 on the outer limits of traditional flight characteristics.  The lightweight version is faithful to these qualities.

SOARING

The inflation of the glider comprises a very progressive profile construction, and the glider lifts in a very predictable manner which helps limit the possibility of being ripped off the ground at takeoff. The Nevada2 is faster than most gliders in the EN-C category (39kmh cruising speed in the middle of the weight range!) which gives a good safety margin in stronger winds. Add to that precision handling and we have a fantastic soaring weapon.

HIKE AND FLY

The Nevada2 Light is an ideal glider for hike-and-fly pilots. It is a solid, fast glider which is not difficult to pilot. At takeoff the glider lifts progressively leaving the pilot plenty of time for control before committing to a takeoff. The glider is light but without compromising in terms of construction materials, giving it the possibility of a respectable lifespan.

CROSS COUNTRY

The Nevada2 Light is very communicative and has an excellent glide ratio even in turbulent air. Using the accelerator has little effect on performance and so can be regularly used to increase flight speeds. The glider turns precisely and pleasantly with a progressive brake range and highest precision at about 15cm. The glider gives plenty of information about the surrounding air mass and, combined with fantastic handling, it is an impressive weapon in thermal conditions.

FREESTYLE

The Nevada2 Light has the energy necessary for great wing overs, mais the basis of its design and lightweight materials give us a glider which was not conceived primarily for freestyle flight.

ACRO

This glider was not designed with acro in mind.

COMPETITION

This glider’s handling in thermal conditions and cross country flight make it ideal to start doing competitions and progress toward making optimal flights.
